It has been a while guys, I have somewhat settled into my new room and what better way to feel at home then to listen to some fantastic chiptunes
, Here are a few of my favorites as of late in no particular order.
I’ll start things off with something from the guy behind the second half of our FM only split EP, Tomy. He continues to push what 6 FM channels can do, needless to say I am in awe. Listen for yourselves

From his trade mark hard hitting FM drums, to his crisp sound design and infectous melodies, it’s easy to see why I couldn’t help but share this one with all of you
.
Next, I think I’ll shift gears and go for an LSDJ dance track by TRIaC. This track here just goes to show that even if there are many game boy dance tracks the ones that are done well can still stand out. This here does a lot of things you might expect from the gernre but it does them extremely well. High energy. good flow, and insanely catchy. What more do you need?

This next song by FotonCat shows what “fakebit” done well sounds like. It reminds me of a mix between C64 and Turbo grafix 16. It has a bit of a funk thing going on which I am a big fan of. It’s a song I keep coming back to so I figued I’d better include it here.

I’ve been checking out soundcloud recently. An artist that I used to love back on 8 bit collective by the name of pongball is on there. In this tune, she uses an SNES Yoshi’s Island sound font. This is an extremely well composed piece and I can’t help but smile when I listen to it. Sometimes it’s all I can say

I’ve found this gem digging a little deeper into soundcloud. It’s time to kick it old school. This man has put up an epicly long song composed in fastracker 2. He made it back in 1993 and just put it up recently. When I heard it, I was blown away. It’s a 14 channel module just under 8 minutes long! Sit back and enjoy the ride. I can’t think of a better way to close this one out then with this awesome tune by dEViLOCK.

Well there you have it, I hope this has been a varied and enjoyable selection of music. I sure had fun discovering it. I have more favorites, but perhaps I’ll save those for next time. Thanks for reading and listening. Keep making those awesome tunes guys, next time it might be you up here
